Believe it or not, you keep getting new brain cells—forever! But the challenge is taking care of them. If you don’t, 50% of them die before their time. Proper care is nourishing (feeding them good stuff and not bad), AND nurturing them (exposing them to things that promote growth and development): exactly what we do for our children—if we want them to become adults, capable of taking care of themselves.

And here’s the Good News: It’s never too late to start! Studies show that specific activities you do in middle age, actually increase the number of new cells your brain produces in later years. And 70 and 80-year-olds who remain active have better-functioning brains!

I’m basically talking about your diet, behavior, emotions, and mental stimuli. Hopefully, you’ve heard of my 5 Keys to Better Brain Health. Each of these areas addresses either nourishing or nurturing your brain cells, new and old.

What better way to start the new year than to be reminded of what every brain needs? I hope you’ll register for the replay of my free Better Brain Masterclass.
